Blaze has lived the past 8 years with his best friend and companion, sadly however she passed away.  Blaze has been charished and brought many hours of joy to his companion.  He was the only pet in this home as well.  We are looking for another home for him with a similar atmosphere.

Now he is in a concrete shelter run and very confused.   He does not do well with a lot of activity or small children.  He can be protective of his "people" and be snappy if he feels threatened.  His personality is sweet and meets strangers well.  Heartworm tested negative.

After a couple of trial visits with couples, it appears that Blaze really is a woman's companion.  He just hasn't warmed up to men.  With a lot of patients, this could be changed, but we think a home with a woman or women is what he is looking for.
